Exhibition of Trash | | Steven Christie from Kirkcaldy, Scotland says (2/May/2002): | I bought EOS expecting a thrilling, edge of your seat racer. The name is enough to make you think "Wow!". But after playing it for only 10 minutes I had enough.
First of all, the menus are hard to control. Never before have I seen a game so bad the menus are hard to control. I hoped the in game controls would pick up. That was foolish.
Starting of in the Gran Turismo style Trophy Mode, you buy a car. Then you race to get money. But if you want to save up money, tough. Race once and that is it.
And the cars handle bad. Not realisticly slidey bad, but shopping trolley bad. Imagine a block of ice on an ice rink. That is the cars grip. And tap the brakes and the car will spin 200 degrees on the spot. And that isn't an exageration.
And finally, the AI of the other cars. The cars split into pairs, and never leave each others side. If you do manage to batter your way past, you will not be able to catch the stupidly fast car in first. I'm sure it is a jet fighter, as I've never seen it, but it is a hell of a lot faster than the trash car you are forced to buy at the start.
The only slightly redeeming thing about it is the two player mode, which allows you to pick the faster, almost car-like vehicles, and don't have to worry about the AI.
