Smashin´ fun, and also with a light gun! | | FaSCoRP from Buenos Aires, Argentina says (21/Jun/2002): | Demolition Racer: No exit is not an exact port of the Playstation game (thanks god!). It´s really GREAT. When you start the game only a few options are available, but with winning the leagues, you´ll unluck more options an a few and amazing (why not crazy?) games. You drive a car between other 15 or 11 (race or "no exit" bowl game). The objectives are two: first, to smash other cars as much as possible to make points (like Destruction Derby), and second, to finish as earlier as possible so you can multiply your score to do a really good score. It doesn´t matter if you made 1000 points if you finish last (or DNF), because your multiplier will be so low that you cannot reach the middle of the pack in the total clasification. You must to make points, and you must to finish in a good position. There are single race modes, and league mode. The leagues are divided in two types, one for normal races, where as you progress in the game you must finish at least third, second, or first, and the second type is the bowl in "no exit" mode. All car smashing! Also for finish the leagues you can unlock some other type of games, like "chicken run", "suicidal", "head to head demolition", "team demolition", and the most hilarious: DR Football (only available in two player mode), where you play soccer agains your paul, trying to put a wooden box in the another player area, and a light gun game! You´re in the center of a bowl and cars are going for you. You can shoot them with the normal pad in the first connector, or put a light gun in the fourth port of the Dreamast. The graphics are well done, the physics are great and the destruction model is really good. Also there are powerups (and down ups) to add more variety of the game. If you liked the Destruction Derby series from Reflections, this is your game!
