After getting this game on Import, all in Japanese! After being use to Graphics like WWF Smackdown 3, I thought no way i would like it, I know graphics dont make a game, but it does count. anyway after playing a couple of times, the graphics werent so bad, they are 3D backgrounds with 2D sprites. Overall after learning all the menus the game is quite playable, not as good as Smackdown, but a good overall wrestling sim, with loads and I mean loads of characters, create-a-player is also in there.
Recommend of any wrestling fan, whos willing to learn a little Japanese.

Fire pro wrestling must be the best wrestling game on the import market. there are over 200 wrestler to choose from even all well known wrestlers from many wrestling companies. there are lots of matches to choose from such a eletric cage matches barb wire and florestant matches where u can hit ppl with flerastant lights. the wrestlers also bleed. there are lots of weapons to use whitch you can get from under the ring apron such as chairs hammers, baseball bats, barbeb wire bats. there even a ufc match included you can even pick these sort of players such as ken shamrock. in fire pro you can edit lots of things from wrestlers names to move and cloths you can even creat your own wrestler or belt. the grathics on this game might not be the best but are good. if you were looking for a great wrestling sim this is the game for you.

The graphics in this game are excellent, the wrestlers are in 2D when you play this game the only thing thats 3D is the audience. The movements however are not as realistic, the wrestlers move a bit choppy but the visuals look good. The sound however is entertaining, the music is varied and you can choose to switch between different tracks when you have your matches. But all the wrestlers have their matching voices and phrases, taunts and crowd appeals. There are a total of 210 wrestlers to choose from based on real life wrestlers. Almost everything here is fictional one example would be WWF and its called WFW here , so the developers wouldnt pay as much licensing fees for every wrestling organization they would have to include in this game as well as all the wrestlers. The Gameplay is what makes this game a sure winner you can choose from single, six or eight man tag team matches, Cage and Battle Royals. Before the match starts you can choose to set the rules as how you want them to be from choosing a referee, ring mat and match location. This game also has some replay value from unlocking more wrestlers winning titles and unlocking wrestler edit stuff. Fire Pro Wrestling is recommended if you have a Dreamcast and like wrestling games because this is the best one I played so far.

If you like wrestling, this is the game for you! With 250 wrestlers, you get great replay value, There are too many match types to list. Many weapons too. This game is 2d, but it doesn;t mean it's bad! It is the best wrestling game ever. There are about 100 characters in the game I know about and the others are good too. Get it off ebay i did it's great!!!

there is a good range of match types to take part in: barbed wire, exploding cage match etc but are a bit of a let down you can hardly interact with these environments when you whip your opponent into the corner covered in barbed wire the screen flashes red and.... wait thats it thats all that happends they dont even fall down also throwing your opponent onto a floor covered in barbed wire results in... nothing the wire might as well not even be there.
the cage match though isnt all that bad you can whip your opponent into the cage which causes an explosion and some smoke this is pretty entertaining also after a set time the cage will explode leaving you your opponent and the ref ko'd on the floor.
the wrestlers and their animation is good considering its a 2d game there are alot of characters to choose from and a good variety of throws and striking moves.
the biggest problem with this game is the way it plays dont get me wrong the actual game play is good the way the buttons are set out and all the rest but playing against the computer is impossibly hard its so frustrating, you can be smashing your opponents skull in for 10 minutes strait and then when you go for a grapple youll get thrown around like theres no tommorow.
when you have a one night match (barbed wire, cage.. whatever) its not so bad because you can change the difficulty of the com player but when you play the story mode (victory road mode i think its called) this is the mode where you fight your way through all the wrestlers uncovering more characters once you enter this mode the game gets incredibly annoying you cant get a throw in infact the only way i could win a match was to avoid my opponent hitting him once in a while till his life was low enough to somehow manage a pin mind you this takes about 15 minutes to accomplish then you get to thinking "250 wrestlers do i really want to do this 250 more times" youd have to be insane.
another problem is with the weapons you have to be standing exactly infront of an opponent and at exactly the right distance away from them to give them a good bang on the head this makes the whole weapon concept a kill joy.
i think that covers just about the most of it all in all this is an alright game but because of the lack of interaction with some of the environments and gameplay bugs itll just take alot of the fun out of the game.
oh yeah and everything is in japanese BOOOOO! i wouldnt know if an english version of the game is available for import but if it is i take that boo back.
this ones a show pony its all show and no go.
